Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Memorial in Ahmedabad – Ahmedabad Sardar Patel Museum is located in the Moti Shahi Mahal in the Shahibaug area. It was built between 1618 and 1622 and was used as a museum and a memorial dedicated to the first Deputy Prime Minister of India Sardar Vallabhai Patel.
Today The Sardar Vallabhai Patel Museum has been boosted with the latest technology to improve the interactive experience. It was set in 1978 by Shri Babubhi Jasbhai Patel, and later Hon. Chief Minister. Under the guidance of Shri, the museum was enhanced in 2013 with the inclusion of interactive exhibits.
The best attraction that you will enjoy in the museum is 3D sound, light and lasers show, permanent set up, which is a unique experience. The museum showcases artifacts and the belongings of Sardar Vallabhai Patel and includes two multimedia halls that shed light on various aspects of Sardar\’s life and usually work with interactive and experimental exhibits.
Also, you will find a national memorial museum in Ahmedabad which includes the national flag that was designed by the Indian National Congress in 1930 – 1931. The museum is surrounded by a garden known as Sardar Open Garden where you enjoy seeing the peacocks wandering freely and Monkeys are seen around. Despite enjoying the museum and garden, there is Sardar Open Air Theatre, where documentary films are shown on particular occasions.
The museum is well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as multimedia halls LCD display, jail zone, multi-touch tablets and many more. In the multimedia center, there is a documentary that tells the story of Sardar Patel in three different languages. Then the 3D sound, light, and laser narrate the story of India. You can also find the biography of Sardar in the museum, which gives the detailed information of all phases of his life.
